2012 Remodeled Fairfield - Livonia, MI

The Fairfield Inn Detroit Livonia is pleased to announce that an expansive renovation of the hotel will be completed next week!

The renovation scheduled for completion by February 15, 2012 will give travelers a refreshing option for spacious accommodations and comfortable hotel suites in Livonia, Michigan.  Upon completion the hotel will expand it’s name to the Fairfield & Suites Detroit Livonia to more adequately describe the hotel’s spacious accommodations and added amenities. 

Offering guests a hot and hearty breakfast will be easier as a result of the renovation as the hotel has doubled the size of its breakfast area so there’s plenty of room for everyone to get a good start to the day whether attending to business or planning a leisure day of shopping. 

The Fairfield Inn has also added a hospitality room that will be used for Manager’s Receptions and offered for use by small groups seeking Livonia meeting space. This new space, which features two large screen TVs and has seating for 20, is in addition to the hotel’s already existing meeting room which has a capacity of up to 50 persons. Guests will also have access to an all-new business center with two computers and a copy machine. Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout the hotel.

Guest accommodations have been totally renovated with all new furnishings, carpet, wall vinyl, marble sinks and 32-inch flat screen TVs. The addition of two new room types extends the offering of hotels with suites in Livonia as the newly dubbed Fairfield Inn & Suites will feature a spacious Executive King Suite with separate living and sleeping areas and an additional TV to better meet the needs of travelers. Ron Wilson, CEO of Hotel Investment Services based out of Troy which operates the Staybridge Suites in Novi, said he feels Bowman would be getting an unfair advantage from the abatement. 

He noted that Bowman said without the abatement the expansion wouldn’t likely be possible, so he questions why that is fair to everyone who is already making it work.

“I understand his position, and he is doing the best he can for his development, but is it fair to give him a lower property tax rate than all the other hotel operating in Novi?”  Wilson said,  “Because he would have a lower cost basis and could sell his rooms cheaper than everyone else, it would make the other hotels less profitable and potentially put someone out of business.”
